Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21 1982. Maggie Grace is an American actress best known for her role as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV show Lost. She was born in Worthington, Ohio and dropped out of school after her parents divorced to go in Los Angeles to live with her mother. While struggling financially she landed her first part as the title character in the video on-demand series Rachel's Room in the year 2001. In 2002 she was nominated to receive an Young Artist Award with her role as 15-year old murdered Martha Moxley. Grace was Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television series in 2004. The show featured her as the principal protagonist for two seasons and also won the Screen Actors Guild Award. Leaving the series Grace would like to be more prominently in film having played opposite Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005.
