Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico in a family who loved music. Growing up, she listened to a lot of classical music and old boleros. In addition, she was a fan of traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana is a lover of Tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. After singing with her mom at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous training in vocals at age 16, under the direction of renown Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. Her musical education continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera ensembles as well as chamber groups. When she moved in America in the year 2000, she joined the United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her residence in southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. She is involved with many local initiatives in both teaching as well as a performer due to her enthusiasm of music and art. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able to bring to others her passion for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes to encourage younger generations to preserve the traditions.
