Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, was born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both of whom were lawyers. As a young girl of just five years old when she left for Oxfordshire and enrolled in an Oxfordshire-based Dragon School. Emma was inspired to become an actor at age six. Through the years, she attended the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. In the school, she was taught singing dance, acting and singing. As part of a school production and the stage of a Stagecoach Production, Emma took the lead at the age 10, and acted. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000), the film adaptation to J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was first cast for the first time in 1999. Emma was discovered through Emma's Oxford theatre teacher. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone, and Ron Weasley told Emma after 8 auditions, that she had been chosen for these characters. The cast included Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's first appearance in a film was with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. It was the highest-grossing film of 2001 The film broke records in its first day sales as well as opening weekend takings. The film has been praised by critics for its film, as well as the performance by three main young actors. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her performance. Emma received five awards in recognition of her work in the movie.
